Thinking about having a "real blog"

So, I have been thinking a lot about getting my own domain name and website (Blogger, I like you, but you just cannot do everything I want to do...)

ok. Here is where I need your help faith friends and readers.

What service do I use? What is the cheapest/ and or best way to go about it? who do I use for my host site?

I am not really sure what service I need, but I know what I want to be able to do...maybe that will help you help me.

Here is a short list of things I want to do with my site.
- Be able to have different pages on my site. It could be a tab style, or a drop down menu
- I would like to be able to upload videos, portfolios, and article content.
- I would like to have a page for contact info and other stuff
- I would like a good deal, that is easy to use and work with

If anyone has any pointers and/ or suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it.

I'm biased to wordpress because it's what I use. It's simple and plus going from blogger to wordpress you don't loose anything. All your posts can be exported from blogger and imported into wordpress. Talk to Brent about hosts. I don't know alot of about them.
