Vision of You

So Kami and I went last Saturday to see Shane and Shane, and Starfield. It was such an amazing night of worship and praise. The tour's theme was "coming together for more than songs," and  that was really what it was. It was so great to see bands coming together for a single purpose.

I was just reminded of what music and worship is all about.  It was a very inspiring night, and we were both so glad that we were able to go.

Light at the end of the Tunnel

This last week has been very stressful; it just seems that everything happens at once around here. All papers, tests, presentations, and problems in life always see to happen at the same time.
Today was great though. Kami and I led worship this morning at Encounter day at school. We are both Campus Ambassadors, and we were asked to lead worship for students that came to visit this morning. It was so encouraging to see( and hear) all of them singing out around many people that they did not even know. It was just such a sweet time of worship.
A song came to my mind as I was sitting in my room after Encounter day. It is a song 'Tunnel" by Third day. It talks about how there is a light at the end of the tunnel; that no matter how bad things seem to be, God is there and is in control of our lives, even if we cannot necessarily 'feel' it. God is faithful to take care of His children, and I have been reminded of that this week. Today is such a pretty day, maybe the nicest day this year. It is so good to see the sun out today and know that it is all going to be OK!

The 11th anniversary of my 8th birthday.....

Today, I am 19! Wow, I know, it is impressive....ok, so it is not quite as big as last year when I turned 18, but I feel much older than I did a year ago. A lot has happened in the last year!
-Kami and I have been dating for almost a year. It will be one year on March 3rd!!!!
- I am in college now, and have almost a semester and a half under my belt
- I am leading music at Tigerville Baptist and playing the BSU band
- I am driving a new car(well, new to me, it was my dad's, but he let me take it to school!)

It has been such a good year, I would even say the best year of my life( at least so far...)
I am excited to see what the next year has in store. God has done so much in my life in the last  year!

The Bucket List

Last night, Kami and I went with some friends to see 'The Bucket List'.
It is a movie about 2 people that are given 6 months to live. They decide to make a list of things that they always wanted to do before they die and set out to complete it together.

The movie was good, and there was avery good message. In the end, both of the men return home to their families after flying all over the world, racing cars, and even sky diving. They learn while they are gone that family and bringing joy to others lives is what lasts when they are gone. Both of the characters spend some of their last days reunited with their family.
The movie posed a very interesting question; What would you do if you only had 6 months to live? I think that all of us spend a lot of time on things that are not even important at, but we should be living each day to the best that we can. We are not promised tomorrow. God states many times in the bible that we are not promised another day or even another breathe, but He does promise to be faithful to us  even till the end.
